InfoComm América Latina high expectations at Tecso
With extensive experience in the audiovisual industry, Montoya shared his impressions of industry trends, the most dynamic verticals, and expectations for InfoComm América Latina, the new trade show that AVIXA will hold in Mexico City in October 2025.
An evolving sector, driven by passion
"During the InfoComm fair, we have seen and we have shared a lot of expectation with the new technologies that are presenting, "said Montoya from Orlando. In his tour of the event, he highlighted the positive response of visitors to the brands that your company represents in Mexico: "Everyone has been super happy with the tours we've done".
From his point of view, the audiovisual industry in Latin America is in constant growth, driven by a strong professional commitment. "For those who are dedicated to this, it is our passion. And I am glad to know that day by day the new generations are more interested in these technologies. We are a very small industry, somehow very selective, but the truth is, we are all family, at least in Latin America."
Key verticals and most demanded solutions
Asked about the most dynamic verticals, Montoya identified six sectors with a strong presence in the Mexican market: corporate, hotels, restaurants, government, stadiums and hospitals, in addition to the historic education sector. "The hotel vertical is growing year after year. The restaurant industry is in vogue, and that gives us new opportunities. And the education sector has brought us countless projects in recent years," he said.
Regarding the most requested solutions, Manuel explained: "It depends a lot on the market. For example, in the hotel and restaurant market, the audio solution is key. But now that the World Cup is coming, also open opportunities for the issue of video". In contrast, the corporate sector works as a more complex ecosystem, where there is no single solution, but a set of technologies that work together. "All the technologies help us to provide a complete solution, what the client is really looking for," he added.
High expectations for InfoComm América Latina
Looking ahead to the inaugural edition of InfoComm América Latina, which will take place in Mexico City from October 22 to 24, 2025, Manuel Montoya is emphatic: "Expectations are high, not only for me, but for everyone, both exhibitors and visitors. This is the first time it is being presented as 100% AVIXA. We have participated in other trade shows in Mexico that have not been as successful, but being AVIXA brings a star. We all follow it."
In the Demo Room #2, Distribuidora Tecso will have a prominent presence at the event: "All our brands are here in InfoComm United States, and we will also have them in our space in Mexico," he said. Among them he mentioned Powersoft, K-Array and Renkus-Heinz, in addition to Audinate and Sennheiser, which also have their own presence at the fair.
You can see the schedules of the Audio Demo Rooms here, and in addition, different Tecso brands will participate in the Manufacturers Training, such as Powersoft and Renkus-Heinz.
An event for integrators... and end users
Montoya pointed out that the expected audience for InfoComm América Latina includes InfoComm América Latina only professional integrators, but also strategic decision-makers in institutions and companies. "The audiovisual integrator is definitely the main audience, but if we can get end users such as universities or corporations to visit us, that would have a significant impact on the industry," he said.
A unique opportunity for the region
To close the conversation, Manuel Montoya extended a clear invitation to the entire audiovisual ecosystem of the region: "I invite the entire audiovisual guild to join us. It is part of our responsibilities as media professionals. All those who could not come to the United States due to labor, visa or budget issues, will have the opportunity to attend in Mexico. I am almost certain that what we are seeing here we will be able to repeat it there. Not on this scale, but well done, and with great quality.
"With solid proposals, global brands, and a regional focus, InfoComm América Latina promises to become an essential platform for strengthening networks, sharing knowledge, and learning about the latest innovations in professional audiovisual technologies," he concluded.
