AVI SPL: Technology to transform the user experience at InfoComm Latin America

AVI SPL: Technology to transform the user experience at InfoComm Latin America
AVI SPL, one of the leading companies in integration and audiovisual services globally, prepares for its participation in InfoComm Latin America 2025.

In an interview with AVIXA, Andrés Martínez, general manager for Mexico, shared his vision of the fair, the present of the industry and the expectations for the event to be held in October at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

A technological showcase closer to the region

After his visit to InfoComm in Orlando, Andres Martinez does not hesitate to highlight the importance of such meetings: "It's a great showcase for all of us, from Latin America, we can have access to technology that is trending. But the most exciting thing, he says, is that now "we will be able to have an InfoComm even closer, in Mexico, so that our end customers can go".

The fair, beyond the technological novelties, is also a key space for collaboration between brands, integrators and manufacturers. "It is a very important opportunity to network and generate solutions together," he says. In this sense, he highlights how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence are already part of the collaborative work that drives the industry.

Bridging the gap with the United States and Europe

From AVI SPL's perspective, the audiovisual industry in Latin America is increasingly prepared to close the gap with more advanced markets. "We know that we usually go three, five years behind the United States, but it is in us to shorten that gap. We have very talented people, well certified, with opportunities to use increasingly accessible technologies, "says Martinez.

It also highlights AVIXA's role as a key ally in sharing knowledge, promoting education and strengthening the audiovisual ecosystem in the region.

Solutions that generate real value

AVI SPL currently works with three lines of business: audiovisual integration (boardrooms, auditoriums, museums, retail), maintenance and support services, and transactional sales of accessories. But beyond hardware, the focus is on value: "The purpose is not to sell a screen or a microphone, but to generate value in the industry through the use of technology," he emphasizes.

For Andrés, artificial intelligence will mark a before and after in business communication, and that is why a solid technological base is needed. "If we want to exploit artificial intelligence, we are going to have to be well heard and well seen. Facial expressions, transcripts, real-time analysis: all of that will be part of the evolution," he says.

High expectations for InfoComm Latin America

AVI SPL will be an exhibitor at InfoComm Latin America, and expectations are very clear: "We are very excited that the AVIXA event come to our region. We will seek to attract many end users to have this close experience with technology, they know what exists in our universe.

Attendees at the booth AVI SPL can learn about solutions to improve efficiency in communications and organizational processes. "We want to accompany them in this evolution along with our brands, partners and AVIXA, which has been an educational pillar in the region," adds Martinez.

Strategic expansion in Latin America and Spain

It should be noted that recently, AVI SPL announced the acquisition of ICAP Global Group, a company with a strong track record in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Spain. This merger not only consolidates AVI SPL's global leadership in collaboration solutions and digital workplace experiences, but also reinforces its commitment to Spanish-speaking markets, where demand for audiovisual integration and unified communications services continues to grow. "We have long admired ICAP Global's success and industry leadership," said John Zettel, CEO of AVI SPL. "We will now grow as one, to serve our customers globally, with a local presence wherever they need us."

An outstanding offer in services and coverage

With this expansion, AVI SPL becomes the most complete provider of digital workplace solutions, with truly global coverage and localized support. The integration of the ICAP Global team adds a wealth of regional knowledge, local talent and a structure that makes it easier to operate in complex markets. "The AV and integrated experience industry is going through a huge transformation," commented Martin Saul, CEO of ICAP Global. "This is the ideal time to join forces with AVI SPL and deliver service excellence in more regions, with an experience enriched by cultural diversity." For clients in Latin America, this means access to a broader portfolio of AV, UCC and IoT technologies, as well as world-class managed services that drive digital transformation and technology adoption.
