This session explores the technology and applications of digitally steerable loudspeakers, a class of in-line arrays that adapt sound coverage through advanced electronics and signal processing, rather than mechanical orientation. Steerable loudspeakers are renowned for delivering high-quality, custom-tuned sound; recent advances have made this technology more powerful and easier to use than ever before. We will review key benefits and current advances in beam-steering through real-world case studies, showing how to overcome diverse acoustic challenges: from extreme reverberation and noise pollution, to architectural and aesthetic constraints. You will learn tactics and recommendations to achieve outstanding results in even the most demanding projects.
