Andrés holds a degree in Sound Engineering with honors and a Diploma in Acoustics from the University of San Buenaventura and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the People. For over 20 years he has worked in the areas of recording, mixing, live sound, acoustics and design of electroacoustic devices. He worked in Research and Development at Challenger, designing electroacoustic devices and systems for large scale projects. Worked for more than 6 years at the Fine Arts Theater coordinating the areas of sound, lighting and/or stage machinery for more than 900 opera, ballet, concert and musical performances. Led the local technical production of Jarabe de Palo, Juuanes, María Creuza and Totó la Momposina. Recorded/mixed artists such as Hamilton de Holanda, C4 Trio, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, Walter Silva, Mauricio & Palo de Agua, Felipe Pelaez, Marta Gómez, Flora Martínez, Tequendama, LosPetitFellas, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, Burning Caravan, Antonio Arnedo, La Derecha, Josh Savage, The Hall Effect, and more. 

He has written articles and reports for Ingenium, La Casetería, SoundCheck and AES Journal. He is founder of Diffusion Magazine and Boutique Pro Audio, distributing more than 30 manufacturers of professional audio and video. He led for 6 years the AES Colombia Section and served for 4 more years as Co-Advisor. In 2016 he received the Board of Governors Award from the AES and in 2024 he is a Latin Grammy recipient. He has offered conferences and workshops in the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, among others. Andrés is an instructor of AFMG's EASE software for Latin America and was WSDG Representative for Colombia and member of the Board of Directors of Spanish Speaking Acousticians of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA). He currently belongs to the Latam Content Advisory Group of Avixa.
