Silvia Mónica Aguilar González
Mónica Aguilar González (MnkyUp4) is a multimedia artist, art director, producer, and independent cultural manager based in Mexico City. With a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communication Design from UAM-Xochimilco, she has been developing an interdisciplinary practice since 2012 that brings together art, technology, and critical thinking. As a member of Laboratorio 118, she creates immersive installations, live acts, and audiovisual experiences through VJing, expanded cinema, sound experimentation, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and video mapping. Her work has been presented in Mexico and abroad. Since 2017, she has co-directed the HelloWorld Festival, an initiative that promotes the digital creativity of women and gender-nonconforming individuals from a critical, feminist, and collaborative perspective.
