Luis García
Specialist in digital audio restoration and music production. He studied guitar and the “
” (instrumentalist training) program at the UNAM School of Music. Since 2014, he has worked at the National Sound Archive (
Fonoteca Nacional) as a digital audio restorer for the Department of Information Technologies
and Digital Audio Systems, and as a post-producer for the Department of
Sound Promotion and Dissemination. He has restored the earliest recordings of the Mexican National Anthem (
), the voice of Porfirio Díaz, recordings of Pavarotti, the National Symphony Orchestra (
), Zapatista testimonies from veterans of the Southern Liberation Army, and traditional indigenous and mestizo music (
) designated as part of the Memory of the World by UNESCO.
