Broadcast, Intercom, and Audio over IP: AEQ's Proposal for InfoComm América Latina

Broadcast, Intercom, and Audio over IP: AEQ's Proposal for InfoComm América Latina
The Spanish company will showcase its Xpeak, Xplorer MAX, Capitol IP Plus, and Solaris systems in Mexico, with a focus on audiovisual production, radio, television, mobile units, and live events.

The evolution of broadcast and ProAV is leading producers, broadcasters, integrators, and technical operators toward more flexible, connected infrastructures that are ready for IP-based operations. In this process, communication between devices, low-latency audio transmission, and the ability to adapt systems to different environments have become decisive factors.

With this in mind, AEQ (Aplicaciones Electrónicas Quasar S.A.) will participate in InfoComm América Latina 2026 to showcase its professional solutions for radio, television, audiovisual production, and ProAV. The company, headquartered in Leganés, Madrid, has more than three decades of experience in the development and manufacture of mixing consoles, intercom systems, encoders, audio-over-IP transmission, and studio automation.

“Our business covers the entire cycle: from the design and development of hardware and software at our own facilities to international marketing, with a presence in more than 100 countries through a network of distributors,” said César Reyna, Manager for Mexico and Central America at AEQ.

Broadcast and ProAV: Moving Toward More Flexible Infrastructures

Although AEQ has a strong track record in broadcasting, its solutions are also finding applications in ProAV, events, mobile units, and productions that require reliable technical coordination.

The company works with major public and private broadcasting networks, as well as smaller studios and projects, offering scalable systems tailored to different technical and budgetary needs. This versatility will be a key focus of its participation in InfoComm América Latina.

For AEQ, the region represents a market that is receptive to new technologies and has a growing demand for solutions that combine performance, flexibility, and competitive pricing. “Our experience in broadcasting has allowed us to bring our products to the professional AV market by offering state-of-the-art products at competitive prices,” César noted.

Cases in Mexico and Argentina

In Latin America, AEQ already has projects that demonstrate how its systems can be applied beyond the traditional studio setting. One recent example is its collaboration with No2, a Mexican production company specializing in engineering and audiovisual production.

The partnership began at NAB 2025, where No2’s technical team was introduced to the AEQ Xpeak ecosystem and MAX wireless technology. Shortly thereafter, both solutions were put to the test at Speedfest, held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

The production required mobility, constant coordination, and reliable operation during a live event. Following that experience, No2 incorporated AEQ Xplorer MAX wireless terminals and Xpeak IF units into its workflows for motorsport coverage in Mexico.

Another notable case is in Argentina, where Pampa Films integrated the AEQ XPEAK intercom system and AEQ Xplorer MAX wireless bodypacks into a new mobile production unit. The implementation, carried out with support from Viditec, AEQ’s distributor in the country, provided the unit with an IP-based communications platform to coordinate production, cameras, and engineering for high-demand audiovisual productions.

“Both projects reflect something we consider key: our intercom solutions not only work in the studio, but are designed to accompany crews wherever production takes them—from a racetrack to a mobile production unit on the move,” Reyna explained.

What will AEQ showcase at InfoComm América Latina

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Xpeak, an intercom system designed for productions of various sizes, as well as audio consoles for radio, television, and mobile units. The company will also showcase IP link solutions for high-quality, low-latency audio transport, such as the Solaris audio codec.

Among the new products will be Capitol IP Plus, an ultra-compact digital audio mixer for radio and television, designed for on-air broadcast control and adaptable to various workflows. The console integrates features for studio operation, field communications, and intercom, as well as compatibility with AoIP installations, optional MADI connectivity, and remote control from a PC or tablet via Capitol IP Plus Virtual.

AEQ’s new wireless intercom beltpack, the Xplorer MAX, will also be showcased. Based on 5 GHz unlicensed multi-carrier digital radio technology, the device can be integrated with AEQ intercom matrices or used within systems such as Xpeak and Party-Line Easynet. Its compact design, battery life of up to 10 hours, and range of up to 600 meters in open terrain make it an ideal solution for television productions, events, and other professional environments that require mobility.

With these solutions, AEQ aims to strengthen its offering for workflows where interoperability, IP-based operation, and scalability are becoming increasingly important. “We want to reinforce something that is part of our DNA: offering flexible and scalable tools, designed for today’s IP workflows, with the reliability that characterizes AEQ technology,” said César.
