The Future of Experience Design

October 21, 2026
Education 1 - Palenque
End User Immersive Experiences Events and Entertainment Learning Spaces

In an increasingly digital world, something unexpected is happening. People are looking beyond their screens for something more tangible. Across all generations, people are rediscovering the value of physical, shared, and deeply human experiences. In this thought-provoking two-voice session, Mark Coxon and Christine Rogers explore why the pendulum is swinging back toward places that make us feel something… and what that means for the future of experience design. Together, they’ll examine how technology can create the conditions for focus, curiosity, and wonder, while intentional design transforms those moments into human connection, lasting memories, and meaningful business outcomes. They’ll challenge the idea that the “experiential” belongs solely to spectacular destinations, revealing how the same principles can elevate workspaces, briefing centers, learning environments, healthcare settings, and everyday interactions. The future of experience goes beyond the “wow factor.” It’s about designing environments that invite people to be fully present, connect more deeply, and leave transformed. Because in a world full of digital convenience, the greatest luxury may be an experience that feels unmistakably real.

This session will be presented in English and will include simultaneous interpretation.
